Qu’elles soient mis en évidence à l’échelle subindividuelle (tissu, cellules germinales) ou intégrés au niveau de la fertilité globale des individus mâle et femelle, les
conséquences écologiques et sanitaires des effets des radionucléides et métaux sur
les organismes restent dans la plupart des cas non étudiées. Or ces informations
permettraient d’extrapoler de manière générique les effets constatés sur les individus à l’échelle de la structure de l’écosystème, ce qui est indispensable pour une
meilleure évaluation du risque écologique. Bien que difficile à mettre en œuvre,
cette approche devra être dans le futur plus particulièrement étudiée.
