facility. Whereas this might result in a more realistic version of how the
prototype structure might be built, the time and labor involved in this
construction method may be significantly greater than more conventional
model construction techniques.
Rubble-Mound Model Operation
A carefully prepared model of a rubble-mound structure is only the first
step in conducting a proper model study. Without careful attention to
operation of the model, there is a very real possibility that model results

e erroneous. Several aspects of rubble-mound model operation are
presented below.
Wave simulation in the model is achieved by scaling time series of sea
sur ace e evations that represent design wave conditions, and then converte Jime ser*es
