Minikin’s method for a wall on a low rubble mound
The design of any structure to provide a non-overtopping condition by the
design wave is often not feasible in économie perspective. The pressure
distribution for this case is shown in Fig. 8.3 already. We see overtopping
taking place and if it is not too severe, the truncated pressure distribution
results in a force F1 which is proportional to F, and where F is the total
force that would act against the wall if it extended up to the crest of the
clapoitis and F is determined from Fig. 8.5. The relationship between F1
