4.6.3.4 Behaviour of groin fields
About 40 different stretches along the Kérala coast, each of which varying
between 0.5 km and 4 km were identified to be dominated by longshore
drift. Since the studies carried ont and the results derived from implémentation the protection measure were found similar the stretch of the coast
at Nayarabalam, 10°N and 76°15/E alone is considered for highlighting the
studies carried out in arriving at the layout of the groin field and thereafter
