Why then give this title to this book while we are addressing a friend that we want to

cajole? We could have used a
human face concept such as “The major water reservoirs

in Algeria” rather than “dams” that reects a weak—willed word.
In our understanding, these large dams, designed and built by the human genius, do not
aim to bring water under control, but simply to harness and protect it for the benecial
effect of all living beings.
These books are, indeed, useful and beautiful. We should therefore educate out
'
consideration to recognize what has been achieved by man on Earth by trying each time
to ally productive and sustainable with beautiful. Yes, it is & heritage of beautiful works
that deserves admiration.
.
Finally, readers will understand that, through this book, the sector of water resources

and the author wanted essentially to offer a faithful story on the grandeur of the

colossal efforts made by the national community in order to protect and better develop
what everyone
calls: the source of life.
