Marguerite Fund
The Européen fund for energy, climate protection and infrastructure, "Marguerite 2020" was set up in 2010 with the objective of
investing in capital-intensive infrastructure projects within the
[then] EU 27 zone - the projects to lie in the areas of climate protection, energy security and trans-European networks. Investments in offshore wind farms meet its constitutional purpose,
therefore. The initial capital forthe Marguerite Fund was provided
by six leading public European financial institutions.
Siemens Financial Services
Siemens' financial services unit supports investment projects
with lease and eguipment finance as well as project and structured finance. In the process, this Siemens unit concentrâtes
mainly on the energy, health and industry sectors as well as infrastructure and towns. For the Siemens Group, Butendiek was
already the eighth contract in the field of offshore wind power in
German waters and the second project in Europe in which Siemens Financial Services had invested and provided equity.
Industriens Pension [IP]
IP is a Danish pension fund which manages deposits of around 15
billion euros. The pension fund was set up in 1992 and has since
built up a worldwide portfolio of investments in infrastructure
and energy. Butendiek is therefore a good fit with IP's investment
strategy.
Pensionskassernes Administration [PKA]
PKA is also a pension fund based in Denmark. The shareholders
of PKA consist of five pension funds from the public health System with a total of 260,000 policyholders. PKA relies on direct
investments which on the one hand support the expansion of
renewable energies and on the other help to secure long-term,
stable returns for their policyholders.
