REARING OF BIVALVE MOLLUSKS

rounding soil into pipes oarrying sea water. Finally, some laboratories
that have plastio sea water systems have complained that since these
pipes are not electrically self-grounded, they present a serious element
of danger in laboratories with wet floors.
We are finding an increasing usage for plastic pumps and pipes,
especially in our temporary installations. We have also found that
tmks made of Fiberglas, instead of wood, can be advantageously used,
especially in areas where wood-boring organisms, such aa Teredo, am
common.
