of auxin concentration, or of flagellar movement; (5) the strong hint
that there is a parallel in the mechanisms of the different responses in
taxonomically distant groups (e.g., translocated versus local responses);
(6) the principle that the biochemical work done in the response is
greater than the light energy absorbed.
