Appendix A. Computer Program Listing and
Instructions
A.5. Computer Program Notation
The important variables that appear in routines DAMBLD, BAKTRAK, BOUND, READIN, PRINTEX, EXTDAT, SPEDAT(KX),
KNOKIN(KX), OLERSEN, and NETFLO, are defined in this section.
The remaining variables correspond to those mentioned in Chapter 3,
Section 3.
Three kinds of variables were used in the writing of the computer program: "ordinary," logical, and counting variables. Ordinary variables included fixed-point and floating-point variables; logical variables were used
in FORTRAN IV logical statements; and counting variables (with a
fixed-point format) were used to enumerate different operations in the program, such as the total number of feasible solutions that had been identified
by the program.
The "ordinary" variables are identified in Section A.5.1, the logical
variables are listed in Section A.5.2, and the counting variables are detailed
in Section A.5.3. Variables that occur only in Subroutine NETFLO are
listed in Section A.5.4.
