Appendix A. Computer Program Listing and
Instructions
For each set of (I(M), J(M)), HI(M), LO(M), and FLOW(M) data,
the number of cards is equal to ARCS/8 rounded up to the nearest integer.
In Section A.3.3 appears a listing of the data cards used for the example
problem of Chapter 4.
A.3.2. Data in the
Routines
A.3.2.1. PROGRAM DAMBLD
The future availability profiles are inserted beginning with the card after
statement 180, e.g.,
HI (52) = HI (52) + 2
See the listing of the computer code.
The argument refers to the arc number and 2 is the annual increase in
availability of irrigable land (expressed in terms of its water needs in
acre-ft Χ 10
4 ). One such statement is needed for each availability profile.
If a complex series of availability profiles is used, it would be preferable to
incorporate the profiles in a subroutine and use a CALL statement at this
point in program DAMBLD.
A.3.2.2. SUBROUTINE BAKTRAK
The future availability profiles are inserted in statement 120 and the
following cards (one statement for each profile), e.g.,
120 HI (52) = HI (52) + 2*(T - 1)
The argument refers to the arc number and Τ is the year in question;
2 is the annual increase in availability of irrigable land (expressed in acreft Χ 10
4 ). If a more complicated series of availability profiles is used, follow
the instructions in the preceding paragraph.
A.3.2.3. SUBROUTINE BOUND
In the Card Following Statement 50
ISUPER = the annual return from operating the original system (in
dollars).
Sixth Card After Statement 60
AF = the annual return from operating the original system ( =
ISUPER).
ISUPER (or AF) may be calculated from one pass of the computer
program, using subroutines OLERSEN and NETFLO.
