Lias (Lower Jurassic), Charmouth, Dorset. This concretion developed shrinkage cracks that were then infilled
by calcite. In both cases the concretions contain complete fossils, while flattened shells occur in adjacent
shales. This is further evidence for early precompaction cementation.
