The comparison of monthly rank-frequency diagrams of phytoplankton found in the surveyed
stations, helped highlight the pioneering communities that appear each time in stage 1, so an early
succession characterized by cash generating in the two station, are in most cases except for the
dinoflagellates Bou-Ismail station for April 27 generated by diatoms. Indeed, one could distinguish
an intermediate stage at Bou-Ismail station during May 6, and a Stage 2 early maturity in Berrar
station during May 3rd
Also, during our study several species of dinoflagellates and diatoms were observed. Some are
considered toxic, making them inedible shells to humans or deadly to marine life such as:
Gymnodinium cateatum sp is present at Bou-Ismail with a cell density of 433 Cell / l, this species
produces toxins (saxitoxin and gonyautoxins) can cause paralytic shellfish poisoning (PSP).
