Description :
This book introduces the reader to a new generation of information extraction techniques and image processing operations for multispec-tral and particularly hyperspectral data. It addresses the recent developments in the areas of image registration, fusion and change detection, feature extraction, classification of remote sensing data and accuracy assessment. A number of experimental examples based on a variety of remote sensing sensors are included.
The material is presented at a level suitable for a diverse audience ranging from beginners to advanced remote sensing researchers and practitioners. This book can be used as a text or a reference in courses on image analysis and remote sensing. It can also be used as a reference book by remote sensing researchers, scientists and users, as well as by resource managers and planners.
